Strike Vote Rally Dates and Locations Announced!

Strike vote rallies will be taking place in various communities across the province, starting next week, as
we work toward our all-member strike vote on October 18 and 19.
It is crucial that Catholic teachers attend a rally, so that you can:

  • receive further, confidential details about key issues at the bargaining table;
  • have an opportunity to ask your questions of members of the Provincial Executive and Provincial
    Bargaining Team; and
  • learn more about what the Association is aiming to accomplish by achieving a strong strike
    mandate.

Attending a strike vote rally is one of the best ways for you to prepare to cast an informed vote, and deliver
a strong strike mandate – enabling the Provincial Bargaining Team to proceed knowing they have the full
confidence of the membership.

In-person rallies may be attended by any OECTA member. You do not necessarily need to attend a
specific rally – you may attend whichever in-person rally is most convenient for you. For instance, if you
are a member of the Dufferin-Peel Elementary Unit, but you live in Halton, you may choose to attend a
rally in Dufferin-Peel, Halton, or both – whichever makes the most sense for your schedule.

If you plan to attend an in-person rally: PLEASE BRING YOUR OECTA MEMBERSHIP CARD.
