Union members protested the provincial government’s cuts to education in front of local MPP Steve Clark’s office this week.

Hoisting signs proclaiming that “class size matters” and “cuts hurt children,” the 50 protesters from five education unions peacefully paraded in front of Clark’s Brockville constituency office on Tuesday.

They are upset at the Ford government’s March 15 decree that increased high school class sizes to 28 students from 22 and to a lesser extent for elementary grades, and the April provincial budget that cut education funding further.
